At the end of Monday, Wilbur had received a couple of visitors with “health complaints”.  He struggled with some complaints:

With only a single statement to initially train him to recognize health complaints, he only recognized one health complaint (because of it’s structural similarity). I gave Wilbur some feedback by assigning most of the provided statements to the “HealthComplaint” intent.  I chose to leave out “I’m tired” since it seems to be getting handled by the default settings.  This means that there will be a (hopefully) helpful response by Wilbur which may lead to more details from the user.  I left out “Why do I yawn?” because Wilbur doesn’t have the ability to look things up online, and it’s not a health complaint.

Another user provided some training as well, and here Wilbur was a little more successful.  Again, this is likely because of the similarity of these statements to the original (single) training statement.

To sum up, We’ve had 7 training statements and 3 successful responses, but all three were very similar to the initial training statement – hence the success.

Let’s keep the complaints coming, and keep the sentences varied – the more different patterns, the better.

I am not sure if I agree with his categorising “I have PMS’ as a health complaint. It was fun to do though!

I dunno, the “S” stands for “syndrome” (‘a set of medical signs and symptoms that are correlated with each other.’) 😉

Wait, you disagreed with PMS as a health complaint, but “I’m grumpy” was okay?
      😀
